ALPHARETTA, Ga. (July 9, 2020) – DefenseStorm, a leading cloud-based cybersecurity and cybercompliance management provider to regional and community banks and credit unions, today announced the addition of 12 new customers and the extension of 100% of customer relationships whose contracts were up for renewal in the first half of the year, positioning the company for accelerated growth in the coming months.
“The start of this year created unprecedented challenges for financial institutions, from leveraging cloud-based services to adapting to new FFIEC guidelines,” said Steve Soukup, chief executive officer at DefenseStorm. “We remain committed to helping alleviate some of these challenges by offering effective cybersecurity and aligning with FFIEC guidelines to help ensure our customers are meeting, if not exceeding, those standards. With our current portfolio, we have a solid foundation that is poised for continued growth throughout the remainder of this year and beyond.”
DefenseStorm’s co-managed, cloud-based and compliance-automated platform has surmounted challenges introduced by the global pandemic and successfully adapted to new vulnerabilities associated with the transition to remote work environments. With the growing need for cybersecurity amid this shift, DefenseStorm has effectively partnered with its financial institution customers to ensure their customers’ information remains cybersafe and sound.
Below are a few newly signed DefenseStorm customers:
Moving into its sixth year of operation, more than 10% of DefenseStorm’s customer base was up for renewal and 100% renewed services, marking a second 6-month period of zero attrition. Ninety percent of customers renewed for three years or more with 25% of those renewing for five years. One of these renewals was Libertyville Savings Bank, a DefenseStorm customer for four years.
“Working around the clock to get community members the funds they need to keep their businesses running doesn’t leave much capacity to monitor our risk management position,” said Mike Burnett, IT Director at Libertyville Savings Bank. “Luckily, we have DefenseStorm on our side to help proactively manage our cyber exposure and compliance systems. It was an easy decision to renew our partnership in order to continue bringing value to our customers.”
