ALPHARETTA, Ga. (February 26, 2020) – DefenseStorm, a leading cloud-based cybersecurity and cybercompliance management provider to regional and community banks and credit unions, announced today several changes to its Executive leadership, which reflect a strategic approach to long-term growth and succession planning.
Harold Brewer, CEO and co-founder of DefenseStorm, has announced plans to retire effective March 31 after nearly 6 years with the company. Throughout his tenure with DefenseStorm, Brewer held numerous strategic roles and will continue to serve as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors. Current President Steve Soukup will assume the President and CEO role. In addition, Jack Daly has been named Chief Sales Officer.
“I am proud of the dedication and enthusiasm of DefenseStorm’s leadership talent, which is clearly reflected in both Steve and Jack,” said Brewer. “We have been very intentional in the timing of these transitions, and I am confident DefenseStorm is entering its best phase yet. Steve is a strong and dynamic leader who knows our business inside and out. He has been instrumental in driving DefenseStorm’s growth, and because of this, he is the ideal person to lead DefenseStorm into its next chapter of expansion and innovation.”
Before joining DefenseStorm, Daly specialized in start-up to scale-up companies covering technology/SaaS, fintech and healthcare. His contributions have significantly improved company valuations, generating top-line revenue growth well in excess of $100 million in value. He has participated in multiple capital raises totaling $50 million plus in Series A and private placements and developed countless sales professionals and leaders.
“Jack is a fantastic addition to the DefenseStorm team,” said Brewer. “His three decades of experience driving profitable revenue growth in the fintech space will prove valuable in securing DefenseStorm as the leading cybersecurity solution within the financial industry.”
